Measured Building Surveys

Measured building surveys from Vertical Survey Services are aimed at contractors, architects, structural engineers, facilities managers and property developers who need accurate, up-to-date representations of existing structures showing all internal and external elements and their architectural features. Survey data enables our engineers to produce accurate, detailed floor plans, roof plans, elevations, sections and As Builts. These can be used for a variety of applications:

Our measured building surveys enable clients to avoid expensive mistakes based on guesswork and assumptions. Employing 3D laser scanning technology, we can survey structures remotely in real time without disrupting day-to-day site activities. Our use of laser scanners also means we can collect all the required data extremely quickly, resulting in very fast turnaround. We can typically deliver drawings within a single week and at very short notice:

Floor plans mapping out internal elements such as walls, doors and windows, fixtures and fittings, stairs and lift shafts, and heights and levels.
Elevation drawings showing structural façades, including building outlines and roofs, pipes and gutters, doors, windows, cills, ventilation and other openings, chimneys, etc.
Section drawings incorporating floor plans and elevation drawings and showing cross sections with internal and external heights at any given point.

Deliverables

Vertical Survey Services’ measured building surveys deliverables include 2D floor plans, roof plans, elevations and sections, 3D point clouds and models, and digital photography. Reports are delivered as Microsoft Word documents and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets unless other formats are specified. Drawings are issued in DWG, DGN, DXF and PDF format. All project files can be accessed online by Vertical Survey Services’ clients at any time using our secure web folders.
